Getting Here

The Island Unplugged takes place on Pelee Island, Ontario, located in the western basin of Lake Erie.

Pelee Island is located in the western basin of Lake Erie is an hour and half ferry ride from Kingsville ON or Sandusky OH. Pelee Island’s outstanding attraction is its degree of removal from the main thoroughfares of southern Ontario and the adjoining states. The journey to the Island is a gradual disconnection from daily stress. Lovers of Pelee Island enjoy quiet natural beauty, in a safe community. The East Shore Campground is home to the Island Unplugged. A small campground nestled in a mature wooded area steps from East Shore Beach. The Island Unplugged will take place in the centre of the public camping area. Bring a blanket or chairs and settle in for the day or plan ahead and camp over for the night with us! Book transport and campsite early!

How to Get Here:

From Windsor:

Take Hwy 3B and Howard Ave/County Rd 9 to ON-3 E, Follow ON-3 to Division Rd/County Rd 29 in Kingsville, follow the signs for the ferry dock.

From Toronto:

ON-401 W to exit 21 Manning Rd/County Rd 19, follow until ON-3 E turn left, follow to Division Rd/County Rd 29 in Kingsville, Follow 29 into Kingsville Look for the ferry signs.

The Ferry

The Pelee Islander Ferry and the Pelee Islander II  Ferry depart from Kingsville dock during the festival and arrive at the West Dock on the island. Ferries carry vehicles, bicycles and passengers. The boat ride takes approximately 90 minutes. Vehicles require reservations.

Just walking on?

Walk on passengers need to be on the dock 1 hour ahead of time as walk on tickets are sold on a first come first served bases.

From the Dock to the Festival Grounds

Shuttle bus to the festival site will be available.

Bicycle rental is available near the dock.

From the West Dock travel south on West Shore Road, following the pavement onto East-West Road. Cross the island for 6.5 km to the East Shore Road.

Turn left and follow the shoreline to the festival grounds.
